Report from the Show Director

July 22, 2004

HobbyVisions International, the exciting and most compelling show in the Hobby & Toy Industry is looking forward to it's second season, October 7-10. The international buyer and International exhibitor participation will quadruple from last year. With the talk all over the international business community, the show has satiated the need for a great fourth quarter show in the United States in a great trade show city.

Estes, Mattel, Bachmann, Jada, RC2, Megatech, Traxxas, Stevens International, Military Model Distributors, LGB, International HobbyCraft and many more are all looking forward to increasing their exhibitor presence and scope at HobbyVisions.

Great Planes will have their private showroom again and International HobbyCraft will host The International Pavilion for our friends from abroad. Mattel will be sponsoring a huge event and will be inviting all of their buyers and Hot Wheels club members. Estes is also planning a major event. eBay has signed on as a major sponsor to promote their dynamic programs for hobby retailers and manufacturers. Carrera, Wizard and other slot car companies will be having very important races at the show. Speaking of races, John Billig will be back with two fantastic RC Car tracks and the Model Railroad display will once again draw viewers to a fascinating display of exhibitor's products.

The Totally Outrageous Challenge, headed by Frank Tiano will once again draw the greatest RC Flyers in the world. This year the event will be held on Sunday rather than Friday, so that trade buyers can experience one of the top events of our industry-the TOC!

HobbyTown USA will be promoting thru billboards, radio, newspaper and their magazine to thousands. As a show sponsor, HobbyTown USA realizes our goal of promoting hobbies. HobbyVisions has also recruited the services of Stellar Events to assist us in promoting and servicing our participants and their product lines. Stellar Events brings years of show experience to our event team.

While in Las Vegas we suggest staying at the Venetian. The hotel is no doubt one of the hottest properties on the planet. We also have room blocks at Rio Suites, Harrahs, Palace Station and the New Frontier. We strive to meet every budget available. Las Vegas caters to everyone and is still the entertainment capital of the world. The new tram as well as our shuttle buses will accommodate you to see the show and enjoy all the wonders Las Vegas has to offer.

If you are a retailer and are not a NRHSA member, why not join NRHSA, they offer free hotel rooms for their members. Call NRHSA at 630-579-3228. The offer is limited to the first 100 callers, so call today!

I wish to thank the National Retail Hobby Stores Association (NRHSA), the Model Railroad Industry Association (MRIA), and the International Model-Hobby Manufacturers Association (IMMA), and The Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) for their strong sponsorship of HobbyVisions. We all want and share the "Vision."

Sincerely,
