HobbyVisions International 2003 was a resounding
success, and delivered its mission of promoting the wonderful hobby
industry to the world.
Media coverage for HobbyVisions International
during the show reached more than 12 million people in California
and other markets throughout the Southwest. This saturation coverage
was accomplished through five radio stations, six newspapers and
five network TV stations – including ESPN, CBS, FOX, NBC and
ABC.
Inside the Sands Convention Center, trade and
consumer buyers were treated to several operating railroad layouts,
RC car and truck demonstrations, RC airplane and helicopter demonstrations
and a live performance by members of the cast of DIY-Do It Yourself
Network Robot Rivals television show. During the segment, host Chris
Chianelli brought out two robots that launched T-shirts and HobbyVisions
memorabilia into an excited crowd.
